Alloy Description
Nickel 200 is most widely used grade, generally specified for transistor caps, anodes for electronic tubes, leads of electronic components / Lead-in-Wires for lamps and for Wire-Mesh. Also used in strip form for various applications including Ni-Cd batteries.
Nickel 205 is also used for similar applications as Ni 200, mostly where higher purity and conductivity is required; inner parts of bulbs and electron tubes.
Nickel 212 has some percentage of Mn in it,making it a bit stiff. It is mainly used in cables, Lead-in-Wire for lamps, electronic tube supports, wire cloth.
Condition of Supply
Nickel 200, 205 and 212 are supplied in the following conditions:
- Cold Drawn, Special Temper.
- Cold Drawn, Annealed.
- Straightened and Cut Lengths.
